3G System – Kolchey Misgav summary

Kolchey Misgav is the water corporation of the 30 settlements of the Segev area. The corporation has adopted the Petah-Tikva tender and started assimilating the system in 11 settlements/sites already in 2004.
Purchasing the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) system was meant to serve a few predetermined purposes:
First, to significantly reduce loss;
Second, to enable control over as many settlements as possible and the management of their water utilization;
Finally, to enable the checking of Mekorot (national water supplier) charges – since the Mekorot readings were done long before the corresponding charges, it was difficult to keep track of the charges.
The system does function well. It helped detect water theft, leaks, and depreciation.
Water loss was substantially reduced and general corporate management and control became easier and more convenient, thanks to the system. Next year, several additional settlements are to be included, with a view to have all the area's settlements connected to one system, including the Segev Area industrial zones.
The corporate runs the entire call, control and charges system, using the ATUS2000 program, where each settlement is a sub-system within the mainframe system.
Following is a list of the settlements and the number of water-meters in each:

A.T. Theradion – 130 meters
